Have you been watching Housewives of ATL??

When is it cool or necessary for grown women to behave like children? This season has been so disappointing! I’m tired of the dumb drama and the petty fights between these women. And Nene has been the most disappointing! Last season she was America’s “sassy sweetheart” but this season she has been acting like an arrogant bully. I don’t know if the fame went to her head or what, but this whole “I am the show” attitude is a major turn off. In the last episode, after Kim politely let her know she didn’t want to share her song with Nene anymore she went into this ridiculous rage. Ridiculous for one reason: Nene didn’t even want to be on the song with Kim! However, since Kim told her the truth that she felt the same way Nene was upset…<—- STUPID RIGHT?? SMH!!  I’m so confused since when is it okay for women well into their late 30s to behave like whimpering babies? This is life and you can’t always have it your way. Have some class ladies!!

   

In “Are you serious” News Today

Okay so Senator James Inhofe went on C-Span’s Washington Journal this week to confirm the notion that politicians are dumbing America down. The issue of discussion was global warming and like many republicans the senator wanted to speak on the other (meaning crazy) side   of the issue. During the show, the senator made ridiculous statements such as, clean energy legislation will cost American families $1,700 a year and that global warming is a hoax…smh! Be sure to check out a snippet of him on the show below…

Weekly Inspiration: No Excuse Sunday

No Excuse Sunday

To make it possible for everyone to attend church next Sunday, we are
going to have a special “No Excuse Sunday”.

Cots will be placed in the foyer for those who say, “Sunday is my only day to sleep in.”

There will be a special section with lounge chairs who feel that our pews are too hard.

Eye drops will be available for those with tired eyes from watching T.V. late Saturday night.

We will have steel helmets for those who say ” The roof would cave in if I ever came to church.”

Blankets will be furnished for those who think the church is too cold and fans for those who say it is too hot.

Score cards will be available for those who wish to list the hypocrites present.

Relatives and friends will be in attendance for those who can’t go to church and cook dinner, too.

We will distribute “Stamp Out Stewardship” buttons for those who feel that church is always asking for money.

One section will be devoted to trees and grass for those who like to seek God in nature.

Doctors and nurses will be in attendance for those who plan to be sick on Sunday.

The sanctuary will be decorated with both Christmas poinsettias and Easter lilies for those who never have seen the church without them.

We will provide hearing aids for those who can’t hear the preacher and cotton for those who say he is to loud.

These three ladies have had major influence on many people’s style in 2009. The crazy thing is that Rihanna hasn’t had a hit record all year, Cassie hasn’t had one since “Me and U” 2006, and Amber Rose is just Kanye’s girlfriend!! I guess hit records or any real relevance aren’t required anymore to make someone hot.  However, these ladies had women across the nation flocking to barbershops in swarms! They even had other celebs like, Lala Vasquez and Solange, jocking their styles. Rihanna had everyone rocking short cuts, Cassie had chicks shaving off half their heads, and Amber Rose had girls rocking bald looks! Granted these women are beautiful but they made extreme hair decisions simple and easy for the masses.

Do I really need to finish that statement? We all know it and we’ve all heard it before, but would you actually do it? Is it really worth it to make him/her feel the way they made you feel? Do you actually think after you get your revenge he’ll stay with you? What if you end up making one of the biggest mistakes of your life? These are all questions that people  rarely ask themselves when in the early moments of finding out their mate has been deceitful. However, these are all the questions that people should ask themselves because sometimes the consequences of getting revenge on a mate can be degrading, despicable, evil, and darn right unspeakable. So the biggest question remains is it worth it? Is this the only way your heart can heal or will you end up the one feeling heartbroken and used? Hmm the moral dilemma many of us face all in the name of getting revenge. Revenge can be a very addicting thing. Revenge can suck you in and totally consume your life to being all about hurting someone else. Someone who you claim inflicted the worst pain on you that you ever felt so your only wish is to get him back. Well..wish granted! Weekly Infatuation: Trey Songz…yuuup!

Yum! I don’t know if it was the braids holding him back, but it seems like as soon as they were gone I became a BIG fan of r&b singer Trey Songz. Since cutting his hair, Trey has been featured on more songz, sold more records, and giving ladies fever like no other in 2009. I can’t get enough from his albums, mixtapes, blogs, websites, and ustream videos! I’ve seen this artist go from a teeny bopper singing about “making it” to a full grown man singing about love, sex, and relationships. The transition appears to have happen with the lost his hair and I am completely feeling his newfound swag. Call me lovestruck, thirsty or whatever all I know is that Trey Songz is a fine specimen

Beauty Insert: Glamourize me & Give me color!!

When it came to nails and nail polish summer was all about bright colors and animal prints. I know my nails were decked out in bright yellows, pinks, whites, purples, blues, greens etc.. I couldn’t get enough!!! But now that summer is almost over it may be good to know what colors work for  fall. Cuz I definitely don’t think the bright nail colors are going to be poppin this autumn. My name is Monica and….

I really find it interesting that there are so many blogs out there but none ( and I mean NONE) that speak to exactly how I feel about certain issues regarding my way of life. So I figured the best thing to do was to pull out my chair and  jott down a few mental points that go thru my head on a daily basis.  This blog is more like a journal than anything else! This isn’t a repetitive site that regurgitates feeds or post from other sites. This is simply a blog of the various random thoughts that I think about.
