Handsome Idris Elba Hosts Remy V Event
The handsome Takers actor, Idris Elba hosted an event last night in Atlanta. Other celebs like Jazzy Jeff and Young Joc came out to support.
The event was to showcase Rémy Martin V – the first clear spirit from the House of Rémy Martin.
Partygoers said they saw Idris sipping on some signature cocktails. Interesting a while back the star took to twitter to announcing his sobriety and since then sharing his daily struggles with alcohol. I guess last night was another failure….

There’s a new trend in make-up lately.
It’s the bold lip color and the nude lip color. Many celebrities have been spotted rocking them lately. It is obvious that this will definitely be the hot trend for fall.
However, if you’re like me you wonder which one is right for you?
Now I’m a fan of both looks. I think they both speak to a woman’s mood and comfortability.
I think the nude lip, gives off the impression of subtle natural beauty. Whereas, the bold lip gives you the glamorous dramatic look. It demands attention.
So let’s have a trend battle:

50 Cent and Oprah are still an item
All is well in 50 Cent’s crib. The rapper took to twitter today, to declare that he made up with his beloved pooch Oprah! Nice to see 50 showing his sweet side. 
Will gays destroy our military forces?
Probably not!
However, Senate Republicans are working overtime to make sure they don’t.
Today, they blocked an effort by Democrats and the White House to lift the ban on gays serving openly in the military. A unanimous vote against forwarding the major defense policy bill.
Earlier this month a federal judge in Los Angeles declared the ban an unconstitutional violation of the due process and free speech rights of gays and lesbians. The decision was the third federal court ruling since July to assert that statutory limits on the rights of gays and lesbians were unconstitutional.
According to AP, recent polls suggest that a majority of Americans think the ban on gays in the military should be overturned. An estimated 13,000 people have been discharged under the law since its inception in 1993. A majority of these dismissals were caused by gay service members outing themselves but, gay rights’ groups believe it has been used by vindictive co-workers to drum out troops who never made their sexuality an issue.
So what really is the issue with sexual preference and choosing to serve our nation? I don’t see one *shrugs*

Kenny McKinley, was found dead in his home Monday. The 23-year-old wide receiver for the Denver Broncos, committed suicide.
At the time of his death, McKinley, who was in his second year as a pro, was on the injured reserve list for the second time in eight months; as a college athlete, he was the University of South Carolina’s all-time leading receiver.
According to TheDailyBeast.com, he’s the third Broncos player to die in the last four years.
Following cornerback Darrent Williams who was killed in a drive-by shooting in 2007 and running back Damien Nash who collapsed and died during a charity basketball game a few months later.
It seems as though deaths are plaguing this team. Could it be a curse?

What the (bleep) does Tyrese know?
Something beautiful happened on tv last night. Something I haven’t seen in a long time in reality television or television, in general, for that matter. We finally get a show that showcases a black family unit based on love and commitment. No ratchetness needed.
In case you’ve been living under a rock or stuck watching Sunday football with your honeybun, you missed a great premiere last night on VH1′s network. The show entitled, Lala’s Full Court Wedding.
The show follows MTV host Lala and husband-to-be, basketball star, Carmelo Anthony as they prepare to jump the broom.
I must admit, I was a little skeptical as to what show had to offer, but to my surprise it was an overall good wedding show. During the first episode we catch a glimpse of Lala’s personal dilemmas of handling the wedding on her own. We meet her mother and find out she isn’t receptive to La’s dad participating. And finally we get some words of advice from Lala’s dear old pal, actor Tyrese Gibson!
Now I’m a huge sucker for wedding shows, so this show reeled me in, instantaneously. However, at the end of the episode I had only one question: WHAT THE (BLEEP) DOES TYRESE KNOW?
