Free as the wind that blows through the trees,
Active as the buzzing of the energetic bees,
Wild as the flowers that grow in the field,
But as calm as the deep blue sea

My smile is extra bright,
And the love I give is just right,
I’m so happy about my life,
That my soul just shines,
Even when life begins to taste like a sour lime,

I’m not your average young lady,
Jewels, diamonds, and pearls are things I don’t need,
To love, respect and honor is my creed,
So I’ll always keep it real,

I am what I am
Young, Black and Be-you-ti-full,
I do the best I can,
I will never change because I know me just being, is enough,
I can only be me and that’s all I will ever strive to be

Hello World,

My name is Monica and….

I really find it interesting that there are so many blogs out there but none ( and I mean NONE) that speak to exactly how I feel about certain issues regarding my way of life. So I figured the best thing to do was to pull out my chair and  jott down a few mental points that go thru my head on a daily basis.  This blog is more like a journal than anything else! This isn’t a repetitive site that regurgitates feeds or post from other sites. This is simply a blog of the various random thoughts that I think about.

Now as a warning some of the posts on here may appear very bias or one-sided. If you happen to become a loyal reader to this site(which is my hope and dream) or even a visitor and don’t like what you read; then you will then be faced with two options. The first option (the one I heavily recommend) is to respond to the post and let your voice be heard! The second option is to leave!  LOL   Granted I know I shouldn’t be encouraging any distaste with my blog, but I feel obliged to say that I will never have the intention of offending anyone. This blog is no Negative Nancy! With that being said allow me to welcome you to Complicated Nature.
